Wills, Bequests and Estate Planning

Planned gifts allow you to combine your charitable giving goals with your estate and financial planning needs. To help you meet your goals, the Alzheimer's Association offers a variety of arrangements including annuities, trusts and bequests. Our Planned Giving staff is available to discuss your options in complete confidence.

We offer the Planned Giving Guide (please note that by clicking on this link you will leave the National Capital Area Chapter website) to provide detailed information online about our many planned giving opportunities, how planned giving can help you maintain financial independence through significant income and tax-saving benefits, and how planning the management and distribution of your assets during your lifetime and beyond helps ensure your participation in the fulfillment of our vision of a world without Alzheimer's.

Have you remembered the Alzheimer's Association in your will or trust? Here is sample bequest language you can take to your attorney:

"I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath to the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 11240 Waples Mill Road, Suite 402, Fairfax, VA 22030 [insert written amount of gift, percentage of the estate or residuary of estate, or description of property] for its unrestricted use and purpose."

In addition to planned giving, there are a variety of other ways to give a gift of hope.
