Advocacy & Government Relations

Capitol Dome

Register online to become an Alzheimer's Advocate

Concerned citizens are encouraged to participate in our government advocacy campaigns in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and on Capitol Hill. We work to protect the financial, legal and long-term health care security of people with Alzheimer's disease and their families.

First and foremost, we need your help to encourage government officials to support the Alzheimer's Association public policy goals.

When urgent issues arise, advocacy volunteers will get an e-mail action alert from us indicating which government officials to contact and how to do so along with a straightforward one or two sentence explanation of the message we need those government officials to get. In every such case, we encourage you to share Alzheimer's Association Action Alerts with your family, friends, colleagues and anyone else who might be willing to add their voices in our efforts to encourage government officials to do the right thing for people coping with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder.
