To help further our mission, the Alzheimer's Association works with corporate partners to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease, fund research, sponsor fundraising events and underwrite program activities such as educational programs for family caregivers, health care professionals and the general public. Other sponsorship opportunities include the Chapter Newsletter, volunteer recognition events and outreach and awareness projects. In-kind contributions are also welcomed by the National Capital Area Chapter, and could include items such as printing, catering, office equipment, graphic design, products for events, etc. We encourage you to speak with your employer about the opportunities to support the important work of the Association.
To learn more about these opportunities, please e-mail Cindy Elliott, Director of Development and Communications, or telephone 703-359-4440 or toll-free 1-800-272-3900, extension 114.
Alzheimer's Disease: The Costs to U.S. Businesses
We know that Alzheimer's disease exacts an enormous burden on both the individuals who have the disease and their families, but what is less well known is the cost to the business world. Alzheimer's Disease: The Costs to U.S. Businesses is a study commissioned by the Alzheimer's Association that documents the burden of Alzheimer's disease on American businesses.
